City centre Nottingham Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem and Robin Hood statue |

This is reputedly the oldest inn in England. The inn dates back to 1189 when the crusaders rested here en-route to the Holy Land. Serves drinks and food and is worth a visit.
Walk up the road from the inn and just below the castle you will find Robin Hood. This is a pleasant spot for a picnic in a largely pedestrian only area. The 7ft bronze statue was erected in 1952. A number of plaques surround the statue and depict various scenes of Robin Hood's merry band. |
