 The grounds of the University are delightful in the Spring and Summer and may be accessed easily from University Boulevard. The Azaleas and Rhododendrons in spring are an amazing show. There is also a pond where model boats may be sailed and there is croquet and other sports to be watched on the lawns.
 
There is a great playground including a mini assault course. The lake has stepping stones at the end and feeding the  ducks is a favourite occupation.

There are two cafes.



 
Aqua Bistro is situated close to the lake, alongside the  Djanogly Theatre in the D.H. Lawrence Pavilion.Café L is next to the Djanogly Art Gallery and Crafts Cabinets.
The Djanogly hall is just opposite the theatre building and is worth visiting for the arts.
