Lincoln is only 35 miles from Nottingham, although the road is
slow and tedious.Lincoln is however worth the effort.
Take one of the roads in from the north and park near the castle. Visit the cathedral and stroll down Steep Hill among the old shops . There is a lovely coffee shop on the right as you go down the hill which sells quality teas and coffees and maybe a bun! ( Imperial Teas)
The
castle
is also open to the public and
is close to the cathedral.
If you have time you may wish to visit the waterside shopping centre and
try to find the High Bridge. This area is however some way from the
cathedral and you may wish to move the car.
