Walk up the hill over cobbles from the
Robin Hood statue and turn left up to the castle. There
is a museum and art gallery and good views across the city. The
collections are of glass, silver, ceramics and paintings. Beneath the
castle are 1000 year old passageways to explore.( Mortimer's Hole Cave
Tour) There is also a craft shop , cafe and playground.
Opposite the Robin Hood statue there is a small attractive cobbled street. Just round the corner opposite the Robin Hood statue there is also an attractive black and white medieval house which is the Lace Centre. Lace is of course part of Nottingham's rich history.
